Q:

What length AA410 should I get

I decided to get one of the new side lever 410’s….. I just cant decide what length I should get…. I’ve been on the fence about these for ages and seeing cygnusx’s bolt action sealed the deal for me, then I find out they changed design to a side leverl and didnt really want the side lever at first, Now I found out the side levers have a fatter shroud and a 1/2″ UNF thread on the end and that the side lever is real easy and got some good comments I finally decided to take the plunge.

Now my only problem is picking which length – I’d like the higher power that the longer length offers… But I’ve always prefered shorter rifles in the past just because they are easier to hide when taking hunting. I figure that even the carbine isnt going to fit in a normal backpack so that doesnt matter so much…. But I’d rather not be carrying a fishing pole as I shoot in some pretty thickly wooded area’s with lots of brush.

Wouldnt be so bad if I could visit a store and hold each one and see side by side…

Seems everyone gets the Extra (long) version, anyone have the carbine or the classic and have a picture of them next to other guns?

Thanks !

Everyone has a little Ninja in them… People just need to embrace it !!!

That’s okay Ratty: YN isn’t dressed like a Ninja either.

He’s actually dressed like a Japanese Schoolgirl.

YN, this is really scary… at the end of August I went through the I need a Heli phase…but a pussied out because of my obession to go big or go home.. I wanted one for indoors, but then I wanted it to do tricks, then I almost got a 2 for one deal on some piccolo’s then I back out and bought a Havoc heli for 30 bucks which makes me content…for now 😆 But before that I bought an Extra, and said the same thing, I’d be afraid to scratch it it’s too nice… 😯 I just looked in the mirror…I’m neither yellow nor dressed like a ninja..all is well now 😆 😆

Good choice on the extra, it’s super long…but it’s a great gun. If I could I would’ve gotten a Carbine side lever..because I like my rifle short..Hindsight is 20/20.

Just got the email that they have shipped my 410 + accessories I ordered. No tracking info yet so it hasnt been scanned by fedex but they should have it by tonight.

Should be here by Wednesday !

Airtramp… I’ll do a post when it comes.

YN, I’ve been sitting on the fence on this one too. Heard a lot of good things about it but can’t wait to read your report. May be you can move me off the fence. 😉

Good choice!
I can hit Co2 carts at 40yards, they take off when you hit them right in the center.
410erb is the only AG that I can do this with. Takes like 2 or three shots.
You have to be dead on to be abel to release the Co2.

I decided to get the Extra.

I figured that I’ll be too afraid to scratch it to take it out hunting and will be using the SS for that most of the time anyway.

Not that big an issue but the extra is also the only one pyramid is selling and I like them (they quickly fixed a logun solo problem i had) so that was another plus for it. Ordered that and 2 extra mags.

Offcourse… I could be lieing and I might not even own ANY airguns….. you’ll never know 😈

You going to love it and wont be sorry.

Thanks tramp – I try and read his blog frequently, usually end up waiting a week or two and reading several days entries.

As much as it may not seem it sometimes (then again.. slate is wiped clean thanks to Donald 😆 ) but I quite enjoy reading that blog.

I prefer the Carbine…. Even with a mod on it, it’s just about perfect far as weight/size goes.

Either way, you’ll love it. The S4xx series are the cats ass 8)

I have the ERB and it’s very quiet with good power. I shoot FT with mine and it works out great even if it’s long. 😀

Well you have the Carbine with a shorter air tube and the shroud, then the Classic which has a longer airtube with more shots and is only 3″ longer, Then the ERB which is 3″ longer still.

Reports are people feel the ERB is too long for field work and the Classic is just right. If you want shorter and less shot count then the carbine will do. Plus with the new carbine you could add a LDC and be a little longer then the classic but much queiter.

I use my Classic in the field all the time and love the multishot feature. It is no horrible loud but it is loud enough. The ERB is quietest due to the shroud being longer. The good thing with the new versions is they come with power adjust and threaded shroud. They sure charge a lot more now. I paid $600 for mine a year ago and now they are $800. But they sure are great guns and I would buy one in a minute. My reccomendation is get the Classic. I get 40 shots, 4 mags, before I refill….I love it and have nothing bad to say about it other then it is a gun that I can take out of the case and shoot one holes with it all day….with out having to mess with it.
