Q:

Last time I ask about .25 pellets honest. :(

Okay I am getting all my parts together to complete my .25 build over Christmas and need to order pellets now.

So it is a Condor, .25 24″ barrel, new Condor valve, and I will be hunting between 50 and 120 meters question is will the 37 grain Eun Jins or the 31 grain Kodiaks better perform at extended rangrs?

Thanks Randy

PS sorry for all the questions I just want to do it right.

I have a stock Condor spring, stock Condor hammer and the extra wieght from AF plus a 110 gram heavy hammer from Tony. Now the new breech was along Tim W’s notion that the barrel walls get pretty thin for a .25 conversion I will let me machinist make the call what will be best as I have the Titanium now.

Thanks Randy

Black Ops,
Tony’s set allows for a retro fit, good idea. Tim @ Custom brakz has a custom brech and stem/tophat to go with the .25 conversion. I suppose it allows for more air flow, just a guess. Only thing that makes sence.

I thought most if not all of the .25 conversions used the stock breech slide and there was enough material left to turn the .25 barrel down to use the stock parts?

Unless you just wanted to make some new parts? m-m-m-m Titanium 😀

Do you have a heavier hammer and/or hammer spring? Condor valve might need some more kick to open it than the Talon valve??? you said it is the new valve so maybe it doesn’t need the extra hammer weight?

Looking forward to the pics and shooting report of your project!

Jim.

Just ordered 5 tins of 37 grain Eun Jins .25 and 5 tins of Kodiak Match .25
from Mike at MAC1 so now the testing will start as soon as I have the machining completed.

Things to do over Christmas while I am off work and at my buddy’s machine shop:

1. Machine the .25 barrel and recrown to 11 degrees.

2. Make new barrel bushings.

3. Machine new 4 Oring Titanium breech to allow for larger OD of breech area of the barrel.

4. Retro fit old Talon valve with new Condor valve/

5. Machine new valve to bottle collar for pressure gauge and possible fill nipple.

So thats all I have on the go now.

PS I will be watching my buddy does the actual real magic. 😯

Raman on the yellow classifieds is selling .25 42gr. EJ’s I haven’t tried them, but someone thought they were better (longer) can’t remember the thread.

Randy, try the Kodiaks and the Eun jins.

Accuracy is paramount.

Whatever groups better on paper at 50 yards would be my 100yard pellet.

Please post your results, will be very interesting. I’ll give the edge to the Kodiaks.

Good Luck

Tony

Kodiaks tend to get the nod in the .25. But the Eujins are no slouch either

Not really sure on the .25 thing, but your rig puts out some energy. Get a tin of each and see how they do on paper at distance. Hopefully the heavier one will be more accurate. I don’t think anyone can answer this with 100% certainty. Only your gun and barrel know.
