Q:

I’m purchasing…

the following:

-80 cubic ft aluminum scuba tank maybe $140?
-Talon SS w/ refill clamp $520

Is this all I will need to fire the gun? I don’t need some kind of hose or adapter or anything?

Lots of posts…

But a used scuba tank………..just contact your local dive shop

I’m a PADI Advanced diver also…………make sure the tank has been VIPed for the year….you will have to get a VIP done every year & a Hydro test done every 5 years

I was under the impression that you had to have a dive card to obtain an airfill??? Maybe I think this because I’m a diver & I also show my card.

You should be able to get a good used tank for about $100…cheaper then a new one & just as good

Some dive shops will not fill unless you have a card. Sports Chalet here in California would not fill for the longest time and I had to go to a dive shop that would fill. When Sport Chalet started selling paintball equipment they thought it silly to sell the equipment but not the fills. So they now fill for paintball. When I fill out the ledger I put paintball were you would put your dive card info.

I have a 4500 psi carbon graphite tank which a dive shop filled for me. They had a disclaimer form since the air was not for breathing.

Jool; As long as your pillows are filled with sand you should be fine. While a regular pillow will give a bit of stability, a sand bag will be much better.

As for the SCUBA tank, check the date on the shoulder of the tank and ensure the date of the hydro is within the last five years. SCUBA tanks require what is called hydrostatic testing every five years in order to be refilled at a retail air station. If the tank is out of test, this will be an additional cost to you. The cost of the tank you quoted is not out of line if the tank is still refillable. AKULA

Yes it is. And you can look up the discount code on the YF.

Lol, is that a camera tripod? Is there a Pyramid Air discount code?

Order it from pyramid and get 10% off

You can rest it on a pillow or whatever with no problem. I use this to shoot of it.

Thank you. Will it be the same if I drive to the store and pick one up, or should I order it?

Can I bench rest this gun on a pillow. People say put your hand on the pillow and the gun on your hand, but this is only for springers. What hold do you advise? The lightest hold possible?
